Project Engineer /
Project Manager

BAS is seeking a Project Engineer / Project Manager to join our team of professionals in our Phoenix, Arizona office.
Selected candidate will be responsible for engineering and project management of our landfill projects. Candidate must have a minimum of five years of experience in Solid Waste with Landfill Gas, as well as a BS Degree in engineering. Professional Engineering (PE) Certification is a plus. Knowledge of Federal and Arizona regulations is a plus.
Candidate must have STRONG written and verbal communication skills. The candidate should be able to oversee and direct subcontractors. Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States on their own accord. BAS does not offer H1-B Visa or employment sponsorship for this position.

Environmental Engineer /
Environmental Geologist

BAS has an immediate position avaialbe for an Environmental Engineer or Geologist in its Phoenix, Arizona office.
Typical projects are related to the solid waste industry, including geology/geotechnical aspects of design, construction, operation and closure. Target experience includes site assessment, remediation, regulatory compliance, environmental engineering, and preparation of proposals.
The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 4 yrs. experience in environmental consulting that includes the design of environmental projects. Prior experience working in Arizona is preferred. Additionally, the candidate must have a professional license and an MS Degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering or a related science. The candidate must have a strong technical background, be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with all levels of staff, have leadership qualities including the ability to coordinate activities between groups, and good time management skills. In addition, experience using Modflow, Surfer, ACAD, MS Word and Excel software and having 40 hour OSHA training is a plus.

Staff Environmental Engineer /
Geologist

BAS is currently seeking a Staff Geologist to join our team of professionals in our Diamond Bar Office. Candidate should have between 1 and 3 years experience, a minimum BS Degree in geology or engineering. Direct experience preferred. EIT registration is a plus.
Specific experience considered would include but not limited to drilling and well construction, soil, vapor and groundwater site assessment, work plan and report writing, site remediation, and construction oversight. Candidate must have STRONG written and verbal communication skills. AutoCAD knowledge/proficiency is desirable, but not required. The position will involve field and office support for the completion of environmental site assessments and remediation projects. The candidate should be able to oversee and direct subcontractors. Knowledge and understanding of established regulatory standards, modeling software, and sampling procedures are a plus. Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States on their own accord.

Mid-Level Civil /
Environmental Engineer

BAS is seeking a mid-level Civil/Environmental Engineer to work in our Diamond Bar Office. The successful candidate will provide task and project management for design and performance of scope of services for varied solid waste and environmental projects. Responsibilities include "hands-on" design, technical oversight, project and client coordination, and preparation and monitoring of project budgets and schedules.
Candidates should have at least 4 years experience in Design (hydrology, hydraulics, and drainage design; grading and plan preparation for both composite liner systems and final cover projects. Candidates must be able to prepare technical memoranda and reports, design reports; and supporting design calculations; and will be responsible for preparation and processing of Joint Technical Documents. Candidates will interface with agency staff and must demonstrate good communication skills, especially writing skills. Candidates should have prior experience in a consulting engineering environment and must be willing to travel and work independently or within a team. Proficiency with computer applications such as AutoCAD, Excel, and Word is a plus.

Senior Landfill Design Engineer

The candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications: BS Degree in Civil Engineering, California PE license, 15 years of experience in landfill design and master planning, and extensive landfill liner design experience. Candidate must have good communication and project management skills and the ability to be a leader and contribute to the success of the company in a positive way.
The position will include the oversight and mentoring of 5-10 project/staff engineers and CAD personnel as well as, client interface and strong project management requirement including preparation of budgets, oversight of work quality and client satisfaction.

Geotechnical (Soils) Project Engineer Diamond Bar, California

KFM Geoscience, a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm providing geotechnical engineering and geological services in Southern California, is seeking a GEOTECHNICAL PROJECT ENGINEER and GEOTECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER to support operations in our Diamond Bar office. In addition to conventional geotechnical services such as foundation, excavation, grading, and slope design our office provides advanced geotechnical engineering for landfill development, seismic analyses, forensic geotechnical engineering, and numerical modeling of geotechnical problems. Our clients include both private developers and public agencies including municipalities and sanitation districts. Although majority of our projects is in Southern California, we routinely provide services in Northern California, Arizona, and New Mexico.
A qualified candidate for the position of GEOTECHNICAL PROJECT ENGINEER / MANAGER should have an advanced degree in geotechnical engineering, over 5 years of relevant experience as a geotechnical project engineer and as a project manager, and be a registered civil engineer. The candidate should be proficient in common and advanced geotechnical engineering tasks, including numerical modeling, be enthusiastic, analytical, and posses excellent computer and appropriate written and oral communication skills.
