BAS Wins New Mexico Liner Design Job

The City of Santa Fe Solid Waste Management Authority recently selected BAS to prepare construction plans and specifications for the development of Cell 4B of the Caja Del Rio Landfill.

The Caja Del Rio Landfill opened in 1997, and occupies an area of approximately 430 acres to the west of the city of Santa Fe. The disposal area consists of six disposal cells. Cells 2B and 3B are currently active. Cell 4B, currently being designed by BAS, is scheduled for construction in July 2007.

BAS will be responsible for liaison with the New Mexico Environmental Department, preparation of construction documents, bid assistance, construction management and quality control during construction of the new cell.

This is the second contract recently awarded to BAS for landfill development work in northern New Mexico. BAS is currently providing master planning and design support to the operator of the Northeastern New Mexico Regional Landfill, approximately 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas, New Mexico.

BAS has more than 22 years of experience providing solid waste engineering and design services to landfill operators in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Montana, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii.
