    San Bernardino County Landfill Gas Systems

Responsibilities:  BAS has been providing operation, maintenance, and monitoring of landfill gas extraction and treatment systems at nine landfills operated by the San Bernardino Solid Waste Management Division since 1996.  This has included routine system maintenance, non-routine upgrades and repairs, response to emergency call-outs, and complete monitoring and reporting.

 
         
    Orange County Central Region Landfill Gas Systems

Responsibilities: Performing OM&M of landfill gas extraction and treatment systems at three landfill facilities in the Orange County Integrated Waste Management Department's Central Region.   Includes monitoring, inspection, and maintenance of horizontal gas collectors, vertical wells, header systems, thermal oxidizers, and flare stations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Orange County South Region Landfill Gas Systems

Responsibilities:  BAS is providing landfill gas support services for landfills in the Orange County Integrated Waste Management Department's South Region.  This includes construction of vertical and horizontal gas collectors, extension of wells, repair / upgrade of landfill gas systems, and coordination of South Coast Air Quality Management District Rule 1150.1 monitoring activities.

 
         
 

 

19th Avenue, Skunk Creek, 27th Avenue Landfills - Phoenix, Arizona

Responsibilities:  Conducting routine, non-routine/emergency tasks and NSPS monitoring necessary to maintain and operate landfill gas migration control and collection systems at these sites.  Routine activities include flare station monitoring and maintenance, landfill gas probe monitoring, landfill gas extraction well monitoring and adjustment, and field condensate monitoring. 

 
 

 

     
 

 


Los Osos Landfill - San Luis Obispo County, California

Responsibilities: Performing operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the gas extraction and treatment system.  Includes wellfield monitoring and balancing, regular inspection for system malfunctions, leaks, and verification of proper operation.

 
         
 

 

San Bernardino Co. Landfill Groundwater Sampling

Responsibilities: BAS is providing groundwater sampling services for 26 landfills. Involves coordination of field crews responsible for sampling activities at sites over a broad geographic region ranging from metropolitan landfill facilities in the San Bernardino Valley, to remote desert landfill sites near the Colorado River, to sites located in the San Bernardino Mountains.

 
         
 

 


Stringfellow Hazardous Waste Site - Glen Avon, California

Responsibilities BAS is providing groundwater sampling at the Stringfellow Hazardous Waste Site, a Class I hazardous waste disposal facility located near Glen Avon, California. The project includes semi-annual groundwater sampling for as many as 100 of the approximately 450 on-site and off-site wells.

 
         
 

  Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex

Responsibilities:  BAS has been providing groundwater monitoring services for the Echo Class III Landfill in San Bernardino County for the past seven years. The project includes groundwater sampling, and soil-pore gas sampling for this landfill located at the Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex in a remote area of the high desert.

 
         
 

  Groundwater Treatment System Operation

Responsibilities: BAS is providing operation, maintenance, monitoring services of groundwater treatment systems at the Milliken, Mid-Valley, and Apple Valley Sanitary Landfills. The systems feature groundwater extraction wells, conveyance piping, air-stripper treatment systems, and groundwater re-injection wells.
