Construction Management

Effective construction management helps ensure that projects are constructed on time, within budget, and in accordance with plans and specifications. BAS’ staff of construction managers have more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry, and feature specialized experience in large earthwork operations, liner and cover installation, and civil infrastructure construction.

Example Projects:
	Mesquite Regional Landfill - Imperial County, California Providing construction management for a new landfill that will support a waste-by-rail program being implemented by the Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts. Initial projects have included construction of site access road and drainage improvements, entrance facilities, and Phase I liner system.
	Prima Deshecha Landfill - San Juan Capistrano, California Providing construction management in support of development projects at Prima Deshecha Landfill since 1997. This includes construction of lined refuse disposal cells and site infrastructure.
	Santa Cruz Landfill - Santa Cruz, California Performed construction management during demolition and reconstruction of a lined leachate evaporation pond. Project included removal of the existing geosynthetic liner system, installation of new sub drain piping, and asphalt and concrete work.
	Prima Deshecha Household Hazardous Waste Facility Performed construction management during demolition and reconstruction of a lined leachate evaporation pond. Project included removal of the existing geosynthetic liner system, installation of new sub drain piping, and asphalt and concrete work.
	Santa Maria Landfill - Santa Maria, California Performed construction management during phased site closure. Responsible for construction documentation, on-site observation and monitoring, contract management, and construction engineering support.
	CIWMB Disposal Site Clean-up Program Responsible for site inspection, closure design, and construction management services in support of the California Integrated Waste Management Board’s Solid Waste Clean-up Program. Performed construction management at closed and abandoned landfills, dump sites, and burn dumps throughout California, where the CIWMB had taken over closure responsibility.
