BAS’ Regulatory Compliance Division provides full-service permitting support to operators of landfill facilities, solid waste transfer stations, and material recovery and recycling facilities. Sunshine Canyon Landfill – Sylmar, California
Prepared the approved Joint Technical Document and design documents to support lateral expansion and consolidation of two existing landfills. The JTD presented a comprehensive description of the site including, existing and proposed design and operational features, site geology and hydrogeology, climatology, and proposed closure design and post-closure maintenance requirements.

Gregory Canyon Landfill – San Diego County, California
Prepared permits and conceptual design of a proposed 185-acre landfill in northern San Diego County. Prepared Joint Technical Document, Preliminary Closure and Post-Closure Plan, and technical support during development of Environmental Impact Report.

Premier Recycling - San Jose, California
Provided permitting and regulatory compliance services in support of ongoing development of a large-volume solid waste transfer and processing facility. Prepared Transfer / Processing (TPR) report, CEQA Documentation, CUP Application, Solid Waste Facility Permit application package, and provided regulatory agency liaison.

Allied Waste Colorado Landfills
Assisted Allied Waste in establishing regulatory compliance tracking database for two active and three closed Colorado landfills. Reviewed regulatory compliance requirements and existing facility permits, and compiled database. The sites included the Tower, Foothill, Denver Regional, Boulder, Fountain landfills.

Southgate Transfer Station – Southgate, California
Provided regulatory compliance assistance to operator of a 2.5 acre transfer station that is permitted to receive up to 2,000 tons per day of non-hazardous municipal solid waste and recyclable materials. Prepared 5-Year Permit Review, Solid Waste Facility Permit Application, and Transfer / Processing Report.
